Ped Forum ’26 kicks off at 8:30 with an opportunity to mingle with colleagues and sponsors of the event while grabbing a coffee and a pastry, ease into the 9 am start when Clark County Office of Traffic Safety Director Andrew Bennett will blow your mind with the latest data available in ways you never thought to ask!

• What does the reduction in pedestrian fatalities say to us?
• Can we see clear trends in specific streets or areas of town?
• Who is being killed, how is it happening most often and can we point to specific things that are working?

Once all the questions have been asked and answered, we will give you an opportunity to join a group for the morning that excites you. A lot of work has happened in pedestrian safety in the last two years, we’d like to bring some of that forward to share with you, even if you haven’t been part of the work previously, but you are interested in the area. Each group will have expert guides and facilitators, and you’ll be given loose parameters to guide your morning discussion into something you want to share with the group after lunch.

Over lunch, you will hear from some of our sponsors about what is working in other communities and potential uses in Southern Nevada, you might want to use one or two in your group presentation.

Before we go back to work, we will honor a few Road Safety Heroes in our community, getting back to peer-to-peer recognition that we did for years.

After lunch each group will lay out their definition of a problem, and cover ideas for how to address the issue and potential solutions. Once each group has presented, the room will look for ways to keep vulnerable road user fatal and critical crashes moving downward.
