PedSafe Joins Walk Like MADD 5K Event

The Nevada Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Nevada, recently held its inaugural 'Walk Like MADD 5K' here in Las Vegas. AND PedSafe Nevada was there to help support their effort.

As you can see our “I Pledge to Drive So Others Survive” pledge board was very popular. Once we pointed out the prizes you can win by registering, everyone signed up to win great prizes on our website.

MADD Nevada’s goal was to raise awareness against drunk driving and provide support to the increasing number of victims. The event at Sunset Park was dedicated to fallen Nevada Highway Patrol Troopers Sergeant Michael Abbate and Alberto Felix.

As of October 31, 2023, impaired driving and speeding have claimed the lives of 325 individuals in the state.

We would like to congratulate Flor Bernal, Regional Executive Director of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and her team for exceeding their $10,000 goal for the event. Proceeds will be used to fund interactive presentations in Nevada, focusing on educating youth and their parents about the dangers of underage drinking.
