Our Annual Save A Life, Win A MacBook Campaign Has Been Extended. New Deadline, May 1, 2020!
In February, students in southern Nevada were invited to design and submit a poster for the annual chance to educate the community and potentially win a MacBook. The original due date for submissions through schools was yesterday; because schooling has moved home, we are modifying the rules a bit and giving students more time to do their project, or start this project, at home.
This is a great opportunity for kids while they are home to learn about crossing streets safely and turning what they learn into an art project. Entries can be any medium from pencil to computer generated but must be on paper no larger than 20” x 20”.
Students will be notified if they are winners or receive honorable mention. However, the actual awards will be given out and the location of the shelter will be revealed at a later date, when people are allowed to gather again.
This annual campaign began in 2010 and is a joint project of the Southern Nevada Regional Transportation Commission, CCSD Safe Routes to School, Vector Media and UNLV’s Vulnerable Road Users Project.
